Plot

Based on lyrics by Isaac Bonwits and the music of the metal band 13 Winters, Bring Back The Snakes touches on the malevolent history behind Saint Patrick's bloody crusade into Ireland and place its people under the rule of the church. The native faith of Druidism was banned and its followers who refused to convert we either murdered or driven from the land. Over time this spawned the legend of Saint Patrick's "Driving the snakes from Ireland" as the snake was the totem animal representing the Druid faith, just as the dove is to christianity.

This story is told through a narrative perspective from an old woman who is fed up with the tyranny and oppression of the church and calls upon the narrator to "Bring back the snakes" to her homeland. 13 Winters adopts the persona of the narrator and takes it a step further by leading the Druids to take back their promised land as the horns of war sound.
